Electric mining shovels have rotation axes to achieve superior body turns in the horizontal plane during loading-truck operations. This axis needs to be changed for maintenance, given the wear experienced in their ongoing work. The EGG 2500 replaces the shaft, a high risk operation normally taking more than six hours, in less than an hour through a safe procedure. This equipment is operated form the distance by a remote control.
